MOSCOW, Feb 5 (PRIME) -- Anatoly Yakimchuk, deputy director of the flight operation department and chief pilot at Russian national flagship air carrier Aeroflot, is accused of an attempt to give a 50,000-ruble bribe to the head of the flight medical board for permission to make flights, the Investigative Committee said on Tuesday.

On April 2, 2018, “he handed over 50,000 rubles to the chairman of the central medical-flight expert commission for assisting in obtaining a positive opinion on air worthiness, despite the results of medical studies indicating the presence of a disease of the cardiovascular system,” the committee said.

The criminal case has been sent to court.
